Townsend Systems is a full service low voltage contractor located in Jackson, Tennessee. We have built a reputation and many loyal customer relationships on superior service. Townsend is considered one of the leaders within our industry. We are constantly striving to improve and grow with new technology and the ever continuous changes that are prevalent within our industry.

Townsend Systems was formed in 1962 as a division of Townsend Supply Company, a locally owned business specializing in wholesale electrical supplies and equipment. With a staff of two and a service vehicle, the newly formed company set out to capitalize on a growing burglar and fire alarm market. As time passed Townsend Systems began to broaden their product offering and territory.

Martin Supply Company, of Florence, Alabama, purchased Townsend Supply Company in 1997. Martin is a holding company capable of providing growth, guidance and services for its divisions. Martin is diversified in its product and service offering and has over 240 employees and 19 branch locations in addition to the home office. These branches span over the Southeastern United States with concentration in Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi.

Today, under management of Martin, Townsend Systems employs 23 full time associates and we recommend, design, install and service a full array of products to include access control, burglar alarm, fire alarm, intercom, network wiring, nurse call, sound reinforcement, telephone and video surveillance systems. Townsend Systems employs factory and NICET certified technicians. We provide support 24 hours a day and maintain a large inventory of equipment. Townsend Systems is recognized by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL) as a fire alarm equipment and service company.
